I'm wondering what the projection measurement is for this lock. I need something similar to this with no more than a 1.75" projection; I don't see projection measurements anywhere on your website.
Thanks

Hello! I'm sure what you mean by "projection," exactly. There are a lot of measurements that may be described that way. The 82-400 was used on doors manufactured by Atrium. The back set (edge of door to center hole for the handle) is 1-3/4". The door style where this is being installed must be at least 3-1/2" wide to fit the mortise latch and face plates of the handle.

My understanding of the term "projection" is the distance the product projects outward from the surface on which it is installed.
For example, I replaced a broken mortise with one I bought at a big box store, but the projection of the new mortise did not allow for the screen door to slide past the handle.

Thanks for your patience. It sounds like the handle "sticks out" from the door too far and it is hitting the screen door. The 82-400 handle stick out 1-1/2", so it should clear the screen door. This handle was used by Atrium. If possible, I'd like to see the lock handle you have now to see if we have anything that would work on your door.
