Q: Is it possible to ID this part without removing it?

Home Owner from Los Angeles, Ca
See photos. I removed the window but did not unscrew the roller guide, because they're broken and I do not have a replacement yet. If I remove them, I may not be able to reseat the window.

Do you by any chance know which window roller guide this is without measuring? And the weather stripping? I may have to remove the windows again to measure them.

It's a 1980-90s suburban tract home with old roller windows with latches.

Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out to us. It is admittedly hard to make out what you have from these photos, but I don't think we have a good match for this assembly based on what I see. There are a few key details I'm basing this off of:

Number one, your roller assembly is held in place using only one screw, which is on a corner-facing tab that sticks out from the main body. Number two, your wheel (at least, I think it's your wheel; it looks worn down totally flat, but I could be misunderstanding the function of this piece) has a ribbed axle that sticks out into a cavity on the one side of the housing. Lastly, the nylon housing has a kind of lip that comes out and folds over the edge of the window frame.

There is unfortunately nothing in our inventory that matches those three key details. At this juncture I think it's safe to say that we do not have a part that can replace this. If you wanted to, you could remove your roller and show it to me from a few more angles, and without obstruction, but it likely will not change the outcome.

I'm a little more optimistic about the weatherstripping, but I would need to see a sample of it removed, undamaged, and from an angle that shows the end profile. Would that be possible?
