Question regarding the appropriate lock to switch out

A quick learner from New Jersey says:
Hello!

I am having an issue with my lock and tried to take it apart (perhaps my first mistake! lol) thinking I could fix it but have realized its beyond my ability to repair. I've attached some pictures and just wanted to ensure I pick the correct lock to replace it with. Perhaps also if there is a way to identify what type of handle bar is being used so that I can replace it with a stainless steel one? I tried to identify the handle bars but did not find any part numbers on it - the locks have corresponding patent numbers that I saw of 5.820.170 and 6.264.252. Please let me know if you need pictures of anything else!

Hi there!

Your mortise lock reminds me of our 82-260. As for your handle set, please see our 82-087 if you need a keyed version. It isn't available in stainless steel, but it does come in other finishes. Look over the dimensions for each of these items and carefully compare them to your current hardware to confirm that they match up.
