Refurbishing casement windows in Beaver Creek Colorado

In the mid- 1980's, Beaver Creek was established outside Avon CO. One of the larger condominium projects with 166 units called The Charter at Beaver Creek was built with many wood casement windows installed. I'm a retired builder and owner of one of these units. I want to refurbish my fenestration with new hardware that replicates the old if possible and also install new weatherstrips. The woodd sash are original to the building and doing well considering their age. There is a "Truth" stamping on one of the operating bars that swing the sash open, so I found you here at this site. Perhaps you have knowledge of this installation and the possibility of providing casement hardware not only for me but other interested owners. There is a local company here doing some replacements here now, but I find the pricing quite high.

I unfortunately don't know what kind of hardware your window uses, but I'd be happy to review what you have and see if we have anything worth your consideration. I would need clear photos of each part you are looking to replace. Seeing them without obstruction would be ideal, but basically we need to see as much of the part in question as possible.

I won't be able to give you pictures and measuremets agin until Jan. These flanking casements have a lower "swing bar" about 13.5 inches long. There is no upper bar, just a single bar hinge ahout six inches long. My understanding is this hardware is quite common and used extensively back then.
I wish I could find out who made the wood thermopane sash but no markings

I understand. We'll be here to help whenever you are able to get us those photos.

To be perfectly honest with you, even if you did find a name there's a good chance the company that made these windows are long gone. There's a lot of turn around in the window industry, and while the 1980's aren't exactly ancient history (at least I hope not), it's still pushing it. There's a good chance you're dealing with collector's items here.

That said, we carry a ton of Truth brand parts, and I've had a lot of success retrofitting them to older applications. I've had a lot of failures, too, but it's just something you have to take on a case by case basis. Truth is definitely a lot more forgiving than other brands so I'm tentatively optimistic we can help.
