Replace Thermatru door foam weatherstrip with vinyl bulb weatherstrip

A home owner from North Carolina says:
Foam weatherstrip hold water like a sponge against door and is rotting prematurely. Need to replace with vinyl bulb. Not sure how to match vinyl with foam since they compress diffetently. On the attached images, the length of the batb insert is 3/8" amd the total width of foam from end to barb is 7/8".

Good morning. How about our 58-056? This looks like it could possibly work as a replacement. The shape is a little different, but it appears to function the same way. See what you think.
A home owner says:
Must be a vinyl as stated. Foam is inferior as it holds water against wood. What is the vinyl replacement for this foam cross section?

We do carry the 58-173 bubble, but I'm not sure if it will close up the gap between the door and jamb. This appears to be the only other option we have to meet your specifications.
