Replacement Channel Balance

Question

I have attached pictures to my 14" Caldwell channel balance for my bottom window. They are labeled 13 4 IP. According to your guidelines, I believe that they are Series 385. I don't know the sash weight range unless the number "4" represents four pounds. If I am correct, I am needing two 1310 units for my window repair. Please advise.

Thanks for posting! Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our S380-14 or S385-14, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.

As for the stamp, that "4" does not mean 4 pounds. A stamp of "13 4" actually matches our 1340 stamp, which holds 11 through 12 pounds. If you have any doubts that this is accurate, you should weigh your sash to be sure.
