Replacement Channel Balances for Tilt Window

A quick learner from Labadie, MO says:
We are in the middle of a remodel project and have a number of windows that need the channel balancers repaired or replaced. I suspect that the windows were made by a local company back when the house was built in 1990, as there are no mfr markings that help identify the manufacturer. The metal channel has 2830 w/backwards "D" stamped onto them and they are 29" long and 9/16" wide. Do you sell a replacement option or a restringing kit?

This looks like the S770-29 with the 15-036 Hook attached. We can provide this for you, but it has to be custom made due to its unique design. I need just a little more information to furbish these for you. Can you tell me the exact weight of the window sash(es) that use these balances? This detail is important to make sure we calibrate these balances correctly. How many balances do you need to these exact specifications? From there we'll do our best to write up a quote for you.

A quick learner from Labadie, MO says:
Hi Bob, the sash weighs 19.2lbs and we will need 4 balances total.

Thanks for that. I just sent you an email with a purchase link to order four(4) of these 29" Series 770 balances with the 15-036 hook attached. They will be stamped 29C, which means they can support a window sash in the weight range of 18 through 23 pounds. If this all seems good to you, we should be good to go. Let me know if you have any questions prior to placing this order. Note that if you need the pivot shoes, the 15-105, they are sold separately.
