Trying to repair a window at my in-laws, it's a single hung but in watching your videos, the window they have does not have the window clips at the top to hold the balancers for removing the window it's just smooth but there are black screws that I'm thinking get backed off enough to stop the balancer does this seem right. Obviously older windows. The balancer just says 23 5 CN Caldwell the length of the metal is 24"
I would need these and the plastic sash guides as well.

Thanks for your photos. Based on what I see here, you have either our S351-24 or S390-24, depending on the depth of the bottom shoe. That's the only difference between them. I recommend measuring your shoe and referring to our dimensions to confirm the best match.
I'm not sure about those screw you're talking about. Would it be possible to see a picture?
