Replacement locking terminal/balance shoe

A home owner from algonquin, il says:
Goal is to replace the locking terminal/balance knife lock on 15 yr old large Weatherseal window (3'high, 4'wide). Locks on both sides need replacing. Looking at your site, 15-026 seems best option as replacement, and while white, our old lock was redish. (is color representative of different strengths?)

From the images, the old knife blades have a parabolic curve on top as does the 15-026. Other part option seems different.

Can you advise if this note is correct and the 15-026 part is the most likely solution? Pics of what I have are attached.

Thanks much, D.

Looks like you correctly chose the locking terminal; our 15-026 appears to be the best match. There was a time when the different color shoes determined the strength of the balance, but they no longer make them this way. These days, spring strength is displayed using stamps printed on the metal channel itself.

Now, if you need the complete balance unit, and not just the shoe, it would need to be custom made. Let me know if that's the case and we can work from there.
