Replacement mortise lock 6" high top to bottom of plate

Just moved into our recently purchased condo .
The lock & attachment on my slider door is
23 years old .
The handle is wood .
When the door is closed tight it does not lock & appears not to line up correctly .

The lock appears to be a Mortise lock 6" high
top to bottom of plate .

What do I need to make it lock in place ?

Hello!

We recommend adjusting the mortise lock first to see if that helps. The related video will demonstrate exactly how to do so. If that doesn't do the trick, re-position the keeper on the door jamb. If these tips still don't help, we recommend you replace your hardware.
