5704165/550CSB Window parts needed

A home owner from Fc says:
Hello:

I am seeking replacement parts or substitutes for double hung windows (see images of damaged parts) In some cases the sashes are unable to stay open once the window is unlocked.
The only part number I was able to attain is 5704165/550CSB.
Any assistance finding a suitable replacement is appreciated.

Looks like you need new balance systems. We should be able to help, but we need more detailed photos. I'd like you to remove the pivot shoe from the window in its entirety and show us what it looks like without obstruction. I would also like to know its width and thickness. Please be as precise as possible. Please also ensure that the shoe you show us is undamaged.

Once we know what the shoe is, that should pretty much tell me what the rest of the coil balance system should be comprised of. I'll know for sure once I see it.

1 1/4"w X 1/2"t are the dimensions. Thanks.

Thank you for the additional photos. We recognize the fittings and coil spring now. The coil spring will be our S152-3, while the attaching brackets for the spring are the 15-143, 15-144 and 15-145. The pivot shoe was made by another company that went out of business, but you can use our 15-158 pivot shoe. This was specifically made for the S152-3 spring you have.

Ok great thank you.

I have attached the current lock and keeper mechanism on the windows. Do you have any replacements/substitutes?

Size: ~2 5/8" X 1" (lock)

~2 1/2" X 1/4" (keeper)

Oh I'm sorry, I was so focused on the balance that I forgot all about the lock. I think we can help but yours is a bit of an oddity. This style lock is almost never made with 4 screw holes like this. Do you use all four, or perhaps only two? If you only use two, can you tell me which pair you use? You can designate them as upper or lower.

Can you also tell me the distance between the holes for each pair? Make sure to measure from center-to-center.

A home owner from Fc says:
All four screws are used for the locks but I am mostly interested in the keeper. They tend to break over time. C-c distance is about 2".

Thank you. We have two keepers that come to mind: our 90-279, which has a 2-1/16" screw hole distance and the depth of 7/16". The height from the bottom to the locking lip is 1/4" and to the top is 3/8".

Then we have the 90-280, with a 2" space screw hole distance and the depth is 5/16". The height from the base to the locking lip is 3/8" and to the top is 1/2".

Please review these two options and let tell me if you think either would work for your window.
