Replacing Woolpile in french doors

A home owner from Guilford, Surrey says:
I have Woolpile weatherproofing in my french doors, and as per your video I can see that they slide. However the end of the channels are closed so that the woolpile cannot slide out. The casing looks plastic rather than metal - if it was metal I would be more tempted to gently bend the casing to allow the woolpile to slide out.

Any ideas?

See if the video below helps. This details the 'cutout' method for removing wool pile. It may be your only option.
