Replacing spiral balance

Question

Hi,
I'm replacing an old spiral balance system and would like help getting the right parts. The balance measures at 5/8 diameter and 17" length with a white tip. I would also need new pivot shoes (see pics) but I don't know anything about choosing which one to buy. Finally I would like to purchase the sash covers because when I removed them, they cracked.

Thanks for reaching out to us, Amy. We can definitely help with the spiral balance and shoe, but the third part you need--called a sash stop--is unfortunately not something we can supply. These are difficult to get a hold of since window manufacturers tend to make these specific to the window model in question. It's hard for companies like us to keep up.

That being said, my recommendation for the balance is our S600-17 and for the shoe, our 15-047. ~~There is no white tip color option for our S600-17, likely because it's a more modern version of your original~~, so I recommend weighing your sash on a scale and referring to the chart you see on its store page. That will tell you exactly which weight option to go with.
