S900-33 with black tip

I have identified my balances as series 900. The bottom sash has a S900-31 with a red tip. The top sash has an S900-33 with a black tip. You don't offer black as an option. What should I choose?

They actually don't make Black Tip color options for the Series 900 spiral balance. It is too skinny to support the kind of sash weights you deal with in that range. Can you confirm that you have the Series 900 and not the Series 600 instead? Also check to make sure the tip isn't just discolored from grease or oil. If all else fails, just give us the weight of your sash and we can recommend the best option.
