Sash and counterbalance are from 1950. Sash weighs 11+ pounds and is 28 inches wide by 28 inches long. Top and bottom of counterbalance appear to be pressed in to the sash channel and attached to the frame with a flat head screw through the bracket at the top. Diameter is 3/8 and length is 25-3/4 inches not including top bracket.

Your exact balance design hasn't been made in a long time, but in these cases we like to use our Series 500. It's a little different but should work perfectly fine for this sash. Just note that the diameter is 9/16" so you may need to make a little room for it.

We do sell a 3/8" version, the Series 400, but I find that the skinnier balance struggles to hold the weight of older wood windows, which are pretty heavy. These are mostly made for lighter, builder's grade sashes. You can look into it if you'd prefer, just something to keep in mind.
