You wouldn't go for either the 26" or 27" balance. You can't round up or down sizes when it comes to channel balances, as an exact match is necessary. 

What you have here is an "extended-travel" type balance, named for its unique block and tackle system. We can supply these but they have to be custom ordered. Before we go any further, I'd like you to first confirm the length of the metal channel. Based on the stamp, it ought to be 26-5/8", not 26-1/2".
