Short of removing a roller.. is there any way to identify what make model door/roller is required.

I am afraid not. With very rare exception, the only way to identify the correct roller is to remove it from the door and send us a picture, along with measurements: specifically, the width and height of the housing and the wheel diameter are most helpful. See the videos below.
