Sliding Glass door installed in 1978.

A handy person from Chicago, IL says:
My son just purchased a home that was built in 1978. I believe the WOODEN sliding glass door is the original. The door is very heavy and it is very hard to move in the track and I believe the wheels need to be replaced. We have not taken the door apart yet. QUESTION: Is there any hope that SWISCO would have replacement parts for a 38 year old patio door? If there is some hope, we will start taking the door apart to get as much manufacturer information as possible to help match up the roller assembly to your selection.

Thank you for your help.

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
Well, it's hard to say. We do carry some rollers that work on older doors like yours, but there's no saying that yours uses one of them. Do you know the name of the door manufacturer? Is there any stamp or marking anywhere that may give a clue? If not, we would need to see the rollers out of the door to determine if we can replace them, and if so, what part in our inventory will work.
