It looks like you might need new channel balances, the metal channels that regulate the opening and closing of the window, as well as new top sash guides, the nylon pieces at the top of the sash that keep the channel balances in place. For the channel balances, we need clear picture of the nylon fittings on either end of the metal channel, as well as a picture of any stamp code on the metal channel. For the Top Sash Guides, we'd need to see the front and side of the guide, preferably out of the window. The videos below show how to remove and replace both types of hardware.
