Stanley window tilt latches

A home owner from Florida says:

I have a question about the window tilt latch 26-393. I have several tilt latches I need to replace because of broken balance spring shoes and the balance spring unloads on the tilt latches. But my window latches resemble the 26-393B but the base width is 7/16 and NOT 9/16 like the displayed version. The top width is 11/16 x 2 3/8 and the base is 3/8 deep but with a width of 7/16. Will the 26-393 fit or am I going to have to trim the gap to fit 9/16?

As long as the lower dimensions are the same, I don't think the extra-width on the top surface should matter too much, since this just sits atop the surface of the window frame. If the other dimensions listed match the 26-393, I think this is a better match--the 26-393B is essentially the same, but with different locking tabs on the side (those circular shapes in the photos).
