Storm door handle set has broken

A home owner from Texas says:

Inside handle has been latching a little too snog on the latch but could always work it until it opened. However today I went outside the door latched & I could not turn the exterior handle enough to release (get past the latch) so I jerked & broke the inside handle now looking for a replacement.

The measurements between mounting is 1-3/4" so thinking Product Code: 40-053 will work. Existing door has a twist exterior handle so that's my main question is will this interior latch interface with my existing exterior latch?

Door swings outside, hinged on right looking at it from the front (outside). It's an old door was here when I purchased in 2004 had to replace this handle probably 11 or 12 years ago found the replacement on the internet but of course did not keep the info. At that time I did replace inside and outside handles.

Any help you can give me most appreciated.

Hello there. I recognize this handle set as the old sears storm handle set we used to carry. Since, we no longer carry this type of set, we now recommend to use the 40-131 handle set to be used in place of this set. Take a close look, review the measurements, and let us know your thoughts about this.
