I can't find any identifying markings. Is.it possible to replace with a non matching part?

Thanks for posting. When it comes to replacing surface-mounted tilt latches, three things are most important: first, that the shape of the 'tooth' matches; second, the distance between the center of each mounting hole; and third, the distance between the mounting hole closest to the tooth and the edge of the lock body, of the offset. See the diagram of the 26-120 below as an example. It has a hole spacing of 2-1/8" and an offset of 3/4". Compare to your old tilt latch and see if this matches up. If it doesn't, tell us precisely how it differs, and we'd be happy to find something better. If it does match up, then the 26-120 and 26-121 might be what you need.
