Top sash replacement

A home owner from NC says:
I have a top sash guide from a 1980s Norandex window that looks similar to the 18-142 but has only one hole instead of two and has a smaller top part. This is similar to other top sashes posted in the discussions. Has anyone been able to use the 181-142 as a replacement for this top sash guide or found a better replacement? If you used the 181-142 did you drill new holes in the window?

Hello, thank you for posting,

People have been successful in using the 18-142 guide by drilling a new hole, but the top of the guide might stick up above the sash. We also pulled up two other guides, 18-008 & 18-009 that people have used. Please review to see how they compare.
