WINDOW SPRINGS

Handy Person from New Jersey
I have four antique wooden double hung windows with 8 aging/failed springs. Above is a photo of one pair. The outer housing is plastic and disintegrated upon extraction. The measurements are provided and detailed images of the bottom brackets, which screw into the wooden window frames at the sill. I need to buy 4 replacement pairs with brackets. The sash cavity where they are housed is 28" in length and the broken housings look like 9/16th diameter. Three of the windows are standard size, one is about 3.5 feedtwide, so heavier.

This is a very old style balance that we are not able to supply anymore. However, if the outer tube is 9/16" in diameter, then I feel confident that you can use our Series 500 as a substitute, along with a bottom bracket like our 17-012. These parts, when put together, more or less do the same job as what you have here. See what you think.
