What is an option?

A quick learner from Victorville, CA says:
I went to order a 23" Series 350 Channel Balance
Product Code: S350-23 but it won't let me until I select an option (2210-2250). What is the option and which should I choose?

Thank you.

Tom from SWISCO responded:
Thanks for posting. Options for a channel balance determine what its strength is--that is, how heavy a sash it can support. They are usually determined by the stamp on your balance. Do you have any such stamp? If not, please let me know what the weight of your sash is so that I can calculate the appropriate option.
A quick learner from Victorville, CA says:
Thank you for responding so quickly. My sash is 19.5 lbs.

Thank you. In that case, I recommend the 2240 stamp option. This can support a window sash weight range of 19 through 23 pounds.

Please keep in mind that the weight range information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
