I have a window with broken balances. I am having trouble identifying the manufacturer. It is a single hung window that slides up and down, and has latches so the window can swing in to have the exterior washed. I can send more pictures of the balances tonight, if you need. Thanks for any help you can give!

Hello, Lance. This is an old rod type balance used by many, many different manufacturers. These aren't made anymore but the good news is that one of our more modern channel balances can replace it.
The only question now is which one; there are a few different possibilities. Unfortunately the balance you're showing me here is too damaged to narrow those possibilities down, so I'll need you to remove a balance that's still whole and undamaged. Once you do I have to see whatever shoe is at the bottom end. Without that, we can't confirm a match, but if you can get that for me then I promise I will know what it is immediately.
