Window balances

A home owner from Noblesville IN says:

I have 28 year old home that has 8 broken balances

I'm at my wits end trying to replace them I hope you can help

They are non tilting windows single hung with a block and tackle system. The only part number I found is 28 4 DN CALDWELL

Hi, Mark.

It appears you have either our S380-29 or S385-29 channel balance, depending on the depth of your bottom shoe. The Series 380 has a 1" deep shoe and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" deep shoe. Measure as shown below to see which one matches up. You will also need the 2840 spring strength option.
