Start by looking at our 26-243 and 26-244 Tilt Latches. Please compare and see if these match what you need.

Help! All the windows in my home are stock from Hovnanian. The sweep locks are absolutely terrible; most can't close, several of the keepers are broken, and even those that can close and lock are so flimsy they offer no protection whatsoever.

I tried buying several after-market window locks (shown in the attached picture), but because of the odd shape of the window frame channels, they won't work.

Is there any after-market lock I can put on these windows? This is a serious safety issue for my family.

I'm sorry to say that I'm not familiar with the Hovnanian brand. I don't know what they used on their windows.

The best place to start would be with photos of the original hardware that's on your window now. I understand you're looking to change things up, but we need at least some reference to get started. Detailed dimensions would also be helpful, such as the hole center spacing. I can then check our inventory to see what your options are.
