The plastic piece sits on top bottom window frame and locks top into channel. Releasing this allows top of bottom window to tilt inward for cleaning or removal. The metal part attaches to bottom windows bottom corners. It fits into round head of balance allowing rotation

Thanks for posting. For your tilt latches, take a look at either our 26-243 and 26-244 or our 26-263 and 26-264. These tilt latch pairs are very similar, save for differences in the shape of the locking tooth and the tab on the underside of the tilt latch. You will need to compare with an undamaged version of your old latches to see what matches best, if either. For your pivot bar, take a look at our 26-326.
