This is called a channel balance, a spring-loaded mechanism that helps regulate the movement of the window. I'm confident we can help, but we'll need you to remove your old balance and show us some photos for identification. The videos below explain how to remove and replace these balances, as well as the details we need to see. From there we'll do our best to help.
