Window won't stay up

Question

Need parts that make window stay open. Just bought house and don't know brand. The windows are 24" by roughy 5' depending on which room. I have five windows that they won't stay open.

If your windows won't stay open, then chances are they need new window balances. Window balances are the mechanisms on the sides of a window sash that regulate the movement. There are many, many different kinds of balances, and there's no way I can say what you need without more information. Namely, you'll need to remove your balances from the window and send pictures. They can then be compared to our selection here.
