balances for old aluminum single glass windows

A landlord from Ocean Springs, MS 39564 says:
I have a rental home with old aluminum single glass windows, double hung. No identification on them. The spiral balances are weak. The window is a type very common to this area.

From this picture, it appears you may use the Series 500 as a replacement. However, we are not certain from this one photo. To determine the series, we will need to see how far the spiral extends past the tube when the spiral is inserted all the way inside the tube. Please email us additional photos if you can.

You will also need to replace the shoes. Please take a look at the 17-12 Sash Clip and the 17-030 Sash Clip.

In addition, you will need a charging tool, either the 75-004 or the 75-005 Charging Tool. The 75-005 charging tool is a little easier to work with.
A landlord from Ocean Springs says:
The exposed distance from the bracket to the tube is 2". Also the black tube had an outer white covering.
