cam pivot orientation

A handy person from Englewood, Colo. says:
Folks, I have a few questions, and thank you for offering this information source. Referring to the cam pivots (RH 26-151, LH 26-152). Is the orientation for a person looking at the window from inside the building?

The channel balance is universal (right or left side)?

The balance knife lock shoe (15-014). When it is in it's channel correctly, is the lowest plastic tip towards the interior of the room, or towards the exterior? The right and left shoes must match? So many have broken that it's difficult to tell.

Thank you for help.

Thank you for posting. I believe the orientation for the cam pivots is looking at the window from the inside. Does that match up with the pivots currently installed on your window?

Channel balances typically can be used on both the left and right, yes.

Finally, for the 15-014, the metal clip should be facing inside the house. The left and right sides should be identical.
