channel balance

A home owner from Poe, Indiana says:
I put the window back together thinking I would be buying springs and cord, so I never measured the whole balance.
The window is a Peachtree Ariel. The sash is 22" wide and 26" tall.
the spring is 1/2" od 11 1/8" long including loops, and spring wire is 5/64" thick.
it is a G2388, type A.
I think I need the S745-23, I'm sure the sash weights less than 19LB.
I'm just not sure of the Length of the whole balance.
Is this enough information or do I need to Take it apart again?

Bob from SWISCO responded:

The length of the inner components is irrelevant. All that matters is the length of the balance, the stamp code on the metal channel, and the attachments at either end of the balance. Without seeing pictures I can't at all confirm what you have, but if it's a 23-1/4" metal channel with the 16-027 attachment, and the window weighs less than 19 lbs, then an S745-23 with a stamp option of 22.25-3, for a window sash that weighs 13 through 19 lbs, is logical.
