channel balance

Stamped 2740EE is a block and tackle balance. Pretty sure it's a 380 series with the 1 inch shoe. Mine doesn't have a winged fitting on the top but does have it on the bottom. Is there any reason not to have the winged fitting at the top. It appears that the channel is clear top to bottom.

Just so you know, this is the first of 4 or 5 windows to deal with that I will likely need parts for.
Thanks,

The top fitting may be missing its wings for a good reason. There could be a screw or obstacle in the jamb track that would get in the way.

On the other hand, it could be for no reason at all and wings would work perfectly fine. I can't really say. Both outcomes are equally likely. You'll have to carefully examine your track and see what you think.

Otherwise, since your balance seems to be missing wings on the top fitting so our Series 350 may be a better option. This comes with a 19-002 top and 15-004 bottom. Look this hardware over and see what you think.

Tom.
Thanks for getting back.
I noticed the 350 series after my last reply. The side tracks only have the clip for the tip of the balance that is near the top of the space. No Screws.
I would go with your recommendations.
What's next. Would love the get this window working with these 90 degree days.

Great! All orders can be placed on our site at your convenience. I believe these balances are currently in stock, too.
