Replacement Coil Balance

Question

I have several windows where the balance shoe is broken and when the windows tip in they have to be held in place by hand so I need to replace those parts.  I can' find any part numbers on anything except img_1220

Thanks for reaching out! Your coil balance assembly appears to use an old Simonton Coil Balance shoe, which is no longer made. The good news is that our 15-259 should work as a suitable replacement and should fit well in the window track. Carefully review and compare the dimensions below to confirm that this will be a fit for you.

This shoe is compatible with the Series 159 Coil Balance. To confirm the correct spring strength for your sash, you will need to take a look at the existing coils for any stamps/markings. Although, it may be a good idea to obtain the exact weight of the sash, down to the ounce, then divide the sash weight by the number of coils in the window.

You'll need to replace the existing pivot bar with our 26-083 and since it appears that you have a single coil, you'll need to use the 15-255 Coil Single Support.
