I am moving into a residence that has ACORN vinly clad alunminum windows. I am looking for a stop where I can open the window to a certain height and leave it there without it being opened any further. in looking at the diagram of the 55-063 I cannot figure out how it attaches and how it operates. ... Sorry we only have replacement vent locks. I have not heard of anyone trying to use a replacement vent lock in a new application - so I do not think any of them would work for you.

Currently SWISCO carries only carries one vent lock set for a new application. See the 20-013 vent lock set. Note, that this set is for wood windows.

We have single hung non-tilt aluminum windows. Most of them are very hard to open. There is a lot of tension perhaps. I pulled out the channel balance (part number S351, 24")and everything seems in order. My question would be why is to hard to open? does the spring get harder/more tension over time? ... (cont.)

Can the 40-028 be installed on either a right or left in swinging door? The picture shows one way but the directions show the other. I am hoping the latch flips so that it can be either way. I recently purchased and installed the 39-096 Pella replacemnt crank from you. The attached images refer to a small plastic/nylon slider that is supposed to align the window itself in the frame when one opens and closes t6he crank. Looking for the rollers for Pella sash's for casements circa 1978. The rollers roll along the top of the al. sill, and under the bottom rail of the sash. The operators work fine. Its just the rollers we are looking for. Thanks Mark
