Dimensions for the 42-004?

A home owner from Milwaukee, WI says:

Currently have mail slot in main door measuring 10 3/4x 33/4 with screw holes 9 3/8x 2 1/8.
Will the 42-004 mail slot work out?

I would like a reply before I order the black storm door mail slot also. Thanks

The 42-004 mail slot has an overall length of 10-1/4" and a width of 3-1/8". There is a horizontal distance of 8-3/4" between the installation holes and a 1-21/32" vertical distance between the installation holes. So the 42-004 does appear to be smaller than your dimensions. Here is a picture of the back side of the mail slot with dimensions.

The 42-004 comes with a matching inside trim plate.
