12 turns and still sagging

A quick learner from Tennessee says:
I just received my order of 12 S900-28 reds. I'm cranking and cranking and the sash still doesn't stay up. My sash weighs 18 pounds. Do I need the green tip?

Tom from SWISCO responded:

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble. If your sash is only 18 pounds, then the Red Tip should have been enough, seeing as how it covers 10 through 22 pounds. You may want to triple check your sash weight just to be 100% sure. I also recommend checking the diameter of the outer tube of your original balance to verify that it is 3/8", and not the heavier 9/16".

Either way, given that the Red Tip won't support your sash weight then logically the Green Tip would be the next weight to try. This also covers 18 pounds, but a little more to boot. Still, you should triple check your sash weight just to be certain.
