15-195 option???

A quick learner from Tennessee says:
Hello, a few days ago I ordered two pieces to test in a customers windows. order # 2166244 It turns out that the part doesn't fit so I'm messaging in hopes to get your advice on narrowing our search. In the pic you'll see the profile of the new part on left side and the old part on the right. When trying to install the new part it seems that the groove isn't long enough (lower yellow arrow) and also, the top part is too tall (upper yellow arrow) Please advise. Thes two things make it so it won't fit into the aluminum spring housing. Thank you in advance for your continued help. Paul

Hi there, Paul.

Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble. Before I recommend anything, would it be possible to see photos of both of these parts from the front?

This is perfect, thank you! I see the problem now. The old T-lock shoe has a recessed stem that is designed to fit into a metal channel with a "groove". The 15-195 lacks this recessed portion which makes it incompatible with the old balance channel. I recommend you have a look at the 15-236 instead. This seems to be the part you need but take a look and see if you agree.
