39-248 gap question

A quick learner from Mokena says:
I purchased the 39-248 Roto Operator Base to replace a broken plastic brace. The part fits fine except for one item. When I insert the base into window frame hole there is a 3/16" gap between new operator base and window frame where you screw the base into the frame. The old plastic brace is thicker. Photo attached to show difference in thickness. Do you know what can be used to fill the gap

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:

Thank you for reaching out to us. We do carry the 39-559 gasket for a different type of operator, but I'm not sure it will close up the gap. One idea would be to use white duct tape and cut the size opening you need to cover.
