Alenco Window Channel Balancers

A home owner from Albuquerque, NM says:

Hi, have 3 Alenco doublehung tilt out windows. The glass is too heavy (we changed glass out years ago) and need new balancers that can sustain greater weight. The windows don't stay open they slowly sag back down. The label on balancer says 25C. Someone told us we need 25D or 25E. Attached are 5 pics. Can you please identify which part we need? Also the width on coil side is 5/8" and on side w/out coil is 1/2". The balancers are 25" long. Thanks,

Alex

This looks like the S770-25 Channel Balance for a tilt window to me. Please compare. If your stamp reads 25C, that means the balance was calibrated to support 17 through 22 pounds of weight. If you're uncertain this is right for your windows, obtain the exact weight of the window sash. Under the product description on the S770-25 product page there is a chart that ranks each stamp option with the appropriate weight range.
