If your window was made between 1995 and 1998, then I believe you need the 39-343. If it was made between 1999 and the present day, then see the 39-099 instead. Look over the dimensions and see if this type could work for you. For a new cover and handle, see the 39-152 and 39-286 for either operator. 

A quick learner from Sun Room there are 8 awning windows says:
Will this operator replace the double arm operator on the existing windows.
I am not sure how old these windows are, possibly earlier 80's

I'm afraid I don't know what it is you have. The operator shown in the image above isn't a double-arm, so you probably have something different. In order to confirm what will replace it, I will require a photo. Please let me know if that's possible.
