Balance

A quick learner from Georgia says:
This is a balance on a vinyl replacement window. Do you need any more dimensions?

Thanks for writing in! Your coil shoe can be replaced with the 15-180 Coil Balance Shoe. I am confident this is the right replacement but I would suggest removing the shoe and comparing the dimensions to confirm that this is the right fit.

This coil assembly uses the Series 190 Coil Balance, which is secured to the shoe using the 33-073 #8 x 1/2" Truss Head screw. To determine the spring strength needed for your window, you'll need to double check the coil spring for any stamps/markings. If there are none, you'll need to obtain the exact sash weight. Then you'll you'll need to take that number and divide it by the number of coils in the window.

(For example, if your sash ends up weighing 24lbs, you'd need (4) 6lb coils; two for each side of the window. So you would need the S190-640.)

The clip supporting the coils appears to be the 15-181 Double Support Detent Clip which is used along with the 15-182 Balance Bushing.

I also need one of the metal parts in the sash that goes into the tilt shoe.

We typically recommend using the 26-040 Pivot Bar along with the the 15-180 Coil Balance Shoe. The cam from your existing shoe may have been a bit different from the one on the replacement shoe.

That said, I would suggest taking a look at the dimensions from our 26-040 to see if the installation hole measurement matches up with the one on the bottom of your sash.
