Came across this balance and hoping you can identify it for me. Picture of the top, with the connecting screw. picture of the entire balance and also a pic of the pivot shoe. No numbers but the sash weighs 4 lbs. thank you

Thanks for posting. This old rod balance and its components are no longer made, but you should be able to replace it with our Series 775 Channel Balance. You will need to measure an undamaged balance rod to determine the correct length. Then you'll need to measure the width of the bottom shoe and also obtain the exact weight of the window sash to choose the correct stamp option. Please review and let us know if you have any additional questions.

That will depend on the length. Different length balances carry different weight ranges. Your first step needs to be to measure the length of the original (ignoring the hook-shaped shoe at the end of the cord) and then pick the appropriate Series 775 size. You will then see a chart on that store page that tells you exactly how much weight each option supports.

If you don't see an option that carries 4 pounds, let me know and we can try to come up with a solution for you.
