Perhaps I can be of assistance. You might have a 35" tilt ribbed channel balance, the S751-35. Your old balance's stamp of 34HDX might conform to our stamp option of 34TG, which means the balance would be calibrated to carry a window sash weighing between 29 through 36 lbs. You' can weigh the sash to confirm this. To compare the balance, you need to remove the broken channel by tilting in and remove both sashes. Then you can carefully pull the vinyl track from the wood window frame. You then slide up the channel balance up from the track.
