I have a casement window which has a discontinued operator Part number 20973 (believe GU Part number). This is no longer available, but it appears your 39-316 would be a replacement. This is split arm operator with dimensions of the arm that attaches to the window being 4 7/8 inches. From inside, the window opens right to left.
Am I correct that this operator would be a replacement? Besides the operator, are any additional parts required for this change?

Based on the information given, the 39-316 Truth Dyad Operator and its opposite handed version, part 39-315, is the correct replacement for the discontinued GU operator. To determine if this is a fit for your window, you'll need to carefully compare the dimensions to your existing operator. If you are unsure, I'll need to see photos of the existing hardware to confirm that this is the replacement you'll need.
