Casement window parts

A handy person from New Jersey says:
I have a casement window. It opens up when turning the left-hand crank handle but when it comes to closing the window it does not close. I have notice that theirs a white plastic clip that's connected the left handle crank and the operative arm is broken on the left and right side.

Hello there!

Thank you for contacting us. That might be the culprit. It's hard to say while the clip is broken but see the 39-538 which is the only cam lock we sell by itself. I can't make any promises but it could be a potential solution. See how the specifications compare with yours.

I also recommend disconnecting the operator from the window and trying it out by itself. The idea is to check to see if it still has trouble closing even separated from the linkage. If it does, the operator also needs to be replaced.
