Channel balances and window latch

A quick learner from Honolulu, Hawaii says:
Aloha,

I ordered and received 2 balances from you last month which were perfect. I found another window in our guest room that needs help as well. The balances block and tackle seemes to be stretched beyond usefulness. Looks like the same thing from earlier order. However, I could see the stamp thisntime.(see attachments) This window also seems to have a broken latch. I would like to get new balances and latch.

Mahalo,
Steve

Hi Steve, thank you for posting,

With this combination of attachments, you could have either an S380 or S385 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. The length of the metal channel excluding the nylon attachments should measure 37" long and you will need a 3610 stamp option.

Unfortunately I do not recognize the latch at first sight. Do you have a similar window that has an undamaged version that we could review? Thank you!

Aloha,

Thanks for getting back to me. I've attached a couple new photos of the latch. Regarding the balances, I think the same ones I received before, S385-37, would be appropriate.

Agreed?

Mahalo,

Steve

Lauren isn't here today but I will do my best to assist.

To begin with, your lock is unfortunately not a part that we can supply. I would say that our closest match is the 90-323, but I can't guarantee that this will work. I can only tell you that it functions under the same principles and is at least worth considering, in my opinion.

As for the balance, I can't say for sure if you have the Series 385 or not. Assuming it's the same make of window as before, then odds are good, but you should check your measurements anyway just to be sure.  You can never be too safe.
