Coil Balance Housing Replacement

A quick learner says:
The pivot bar measures 2 7/8 inches overall length 5/16 of an inch wide inch and 7/16 to the first hole and 2 3/16 to the second hole.
The windows are 36 inches wide by 36 inches tall and manufactured by soft lite window company.
The coil housing has a number on it that says 6R. It also has a patent number that is PAT5, 353, 548. The metal coil itself has letters 6GE. It measures 2 7/16 inches tall half inch wide and inch and a quarter wide. The coil is fastened to the inside window track with a triangular metal piece that measures roughly 1 inch triangularly.
I sent a picture of my pivot bar with a tape measure next to it in the previous pictures but the overall length of it is 2 7/8 inches long from the end to the first hole is one and 7/16 inches and from the end to the second hole is 2 3/16 inches. It is 1/4 inch wide. The pivot bar you have shown will not work because the holes are not the same. Do you have any others?

Thanks for reaching out! Your coil balance housing looks similar to our 15-087 coil housing pivot. Carefully review and compare the dimensions to those shown below to determine if this is the correct replacement. I am confident these are the replacement you'll need.

Detail of 15-087

The coil housing pivot is compatible with the Series 180 coil balance spring. Specifically, you'll need the S180-6 Coil Balance Spring. The metal mounting bracket that secures the coil in the window channel is part 16-024.

Your pivot bar appears to be our 26-422. Again, take a look over the dimensions to confirm that this is the right replacement.

I don't believe the pivot bar you recommend will work for my window. My pivot bar measures 2 7/8 long but from the flat end to the first hole it measures 1 7/16 of an inch. From the flat end to the second hole it measures 2 3/16 of an inch. The two holes in the pivot bar are roughly 3/4 of an inch apart. Do you have anything like this?

Thanks for confirming the measurements. It does not appear that we have an exact replacement for your pivot bar. Our best suggestion would be that you would need to use a different type of pivot bar and there is a chance that you will need to drill new installation holes.

Theoretically, you could still use the 26-422, you would just need to drill new holes to install it.

We have a few different "U" shaped pivot bars that could potentially work as a replacement for your existing pivot bar. Start with our 26-068 and 26-089, see if these might be worth considering as a replacement. These are compatible with the 15-087 coil pivot housing.
